The latest from this year’s Paddock Wood 1/2 Marathon
Having beat the streets training over the winter, race day finally arrived. This was the first year the firm has sponsored the event which is the largest community event now to be held annually in Paddock Wood, attracting around 2,700 entrants, many of whom are using the run as a final preparation for the London Marathon and other events.
The Lambert & Foster running team included first time runners, Wendy Morris and Will Mathias, who achieved good times on their debut in the cool and rainy conditions along with previous participants, Alan, Lucy and Alice Mummery. They recorded improved times on previous races with Alan and Lucy either side of the 2 hour mark. The quickest team runner was Mandy Bussey who, although a regular runner, had never participated in this local event. All of the runners really appreciated the support that other members of staff were able to give around the course.
Lambert & Foster are committed to further sponsorship for the 30th Annual Paddock Wood Half Marathon in 2019.
