The Agriculture Act 2020 received Royal Assent on 11th November 2020, passing into law the long heralded mantra of “Public Money for Public Goods”. The Act sets out the seven year transition period for the phasing out of the Basic Payment Scheme and the introduction of the Environmental Land Management Scheme.
