Positive outlook for 2022
Welcome to our first edition of Asset magazine in 2022. We hope this year will be less challenging than the last two years. The property market is expected to continue to be strong with Rightmove predicting a further 5% price rise in 2022. We are certainly finding there is still a strong buyer demand.
This will be a key year for the Government to decide on any planning reforms, and with the requirement for delivering 300,000 houses a year, clarification is needed to speed up the planning system and delivery.
The rural sector is going to face its challenges, but equally there are new opportunities emerging. We wish you all the best for 2022.
