Lambert & Foster complete Paddock Wood Half Marathon
Lambert & Foster and Bloomfields were delighted to be main sponsors of the 30thAnnual Paddock Wood Half Marathon ran in excellent running conditions on Sunday 30thApril on a scenic flat country route through the lanes around Paddock Wood and surrounding villages.
Some 2,000 runners took part in the event which is one of the biggest events of its kind in the South East of England and rated highly by runners as a fast and flat course.
The runners included the Lambert & Foster team together with friends and family. Ben Wombwell based at our Paddock Wood office lead the Lambert & Foster team home in 2 hours and 5 minutes, followed by veteran, Alan Mummery in 2 hours and 9 minutes, with debutant Ryan Saunders coming home in a very respectable 2 hours and 19 minutes. The team was bolstered by friends and family, Lloyd Hariram finished in an outstanding 1 hour and 30 minutes. Daisy Mummery in 1 hour 44 minutes, her mother Lucy Mummery securing a personal best in 1 hour 51 minutes and Annabel Wellington breaking the finishing tape in 2 hours and 5 minutes. Bloomfields Planner, Vicky Bedford’s husband David returning to running finished in 2 hours and 24 minutes, raising valuable funds as part of a charitable team for Porch Light.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the Paddock Wood Athletic Club, for putting on such a sucessful event, which brings so many people to Paddock Wood town.
