Quality Farm Dispersal Sales in the South East are few and far between so this genuine dispersal sale held following the death of the well known local farmer Tony Crouch attracted buyers from all around the country recognising the quality offering of arable and grassland farm machinery. The sale catalogue was bolstered by the inclusion of a number of select local entries from neighbouring farms.

Ringing the bell for top price was the immaculate 2015 New Holland CX5080 Combine selling into the trade for £75,000. The impressive line up of tidy tractors off the farm saw sales achieved for the 2017 Massey Ferguson 6716S 4WD Dyna 6 Tractor (500 hours) at £51,000, the 2010 Massey Ferguson 6480 4WD Dyna 6 Tractor (2,500 hours) at £34,000 closely followed by the farm Telehandler a Manitou MLT845-120 4WD all terrain vehicle, sold with with its grain bucket at £27,500. There was considerable interest in the 2008 Deutz Fahr Agrofarm 100 4WD Tractor which sold to Ireland for £15,000. Completing the sales of farm tractors was the W registered Massey Ferguson 6270 4WD tractor at £14,500.
Amongst the arable tackle on offer the McConnell PA5455 hedgecutter changed hands at £12,000, the Compact 1230 Dal-Bo 12m folding rolls at £9,000 and the 2 Marshall 14 tonne twin axle grain trailers sold to a top price of £9,000.
A good selection of hay making equipment was offered including the Massey Ferguson 1839 conventional baler selling for £8,000 and the Vicon 533 Fanex Hay Tedder to £2,600. The Polaris Ranger All-Terrain vehicle made £6,500.
The included lots from local farmers and trade connections met a lively trade with the highlight being the sale of the 2002 Land Rover 130 TD5 selling ahead of expectations at £18,000. A 2007 New Holland TS135A Tractor changed hands at £16,250, the 2014 Valtra Tractor with fitted loader at £34,000 and the 1978 Mercedes Unimog for £4,300. Other prices of note were the sale of the Spearhead Q2800 flail mower £3,500 and a 2016 JAPPA Log Processor at £5,900 and the Kuhn Multimaster 5 Furrow Plough at £7,500.
Retiring Sheppey farmer David Goodwin sold part of his vintage collection of vehicle and carriages with the horse drawn wedding carriage selling at £1800 and a Kent Harvest wagon at similar money.
The sale again proved the worth of well presented good quality farm machinery which always creates interest at a genuine auction dispersal sale.
