Electrical safety testing in let residential property
The Government has published draft Regulations which will require electrical safety testing in let residential property in England. The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 are expected to come into force on 1st June 2020 and will require 5 yearly inspection and testing of electrical installations for new tenancies from 1st July 2020 and for existing tenancies from 1st April 2021.
