Successful collaboration of planning and agency teams
Another sale, another happy vendor! This time the result of a long running project for both the Bloomfields Chartered Town Planners Team and the Lambert & Foster Ltd Land Agency Department. Alan Mummery explains the story.
‘’I have had the pleasure to act for the Gilbert Family for many years and they made the decision a couple of years ago to retire to Scotland which has led to the sale of their agricultural land in Kent. The final piece of the project was completing the planning project around the yard and the Bloomfields Planning Team delivered residential planning permission for a beautiful oak framed barn and Class Q consent on 3 other buildings.
“A second round of Class Q applications on a modern range of Atcost buildings met resistance from Maidstone Borough Council but despite this disappointment the decision was made in the summer to market the yard which comprised 1.5 acres of orchards with a mixture of traditional and modern buildings with consent for 4 dwellings. We had excellent interest and a sale was quickly arranged above the guide price’’.
Alan goes on to say ‘’this is a great example where a loyal client has benefitted from the joined-up thinking of our Planning and Agency Departments to deliver a great outcome’’.
