117 new homes in Marden
After negotiating an Option Agreement on behalf of a landowner, we are pleased to report that our clients have won an appeal for 117 new homes with associated affordable housing and infrastructure in Marden. Despite the site being a draft allocation in the Maidstone Borough Council Local Plan, when the planning application was submitted it was refused on various grounds including impact on the landscape. A Public Inquiry was held and the developer B.Yond Homes successfully argued that the reasons for refusal were not sound. The appeal was subsequently allowed.
